Philippine Physics Olympiad 2022

The Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas (SPP) and the Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao (SPVM) jointly held the Philippine Physics Olympiad (PPO) 2022. The PPO serves as an avenue to identify and train potential participants to international physics competitions such as the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO).

PPO2022 aims to

  1. Stimulate the improvement of physics education in the country by enkindling further interest in and appreciation of physics among students and teachers and gaining insights into the levels of physics learning;
  2. Promote the awareness, appreciation, and competence in physics and physics education among our secondary level students and encourage the professional advancement of physics teachers and mentors; and,
  3. Identify gifted students in physics, and to further train them as competent participants in international physics competitions.
