The Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas (SPP) held a planning workshop in preparation for the upcoming annual Physics Conference last 30 November at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Physics in UP Los Baños, Laguna.

The aims of the Workshop were to develop plans for the 2020 Physics Conference and to enhance collaborations through team building. In small groups at first and then in plenary, the participants articulated their ideas for the annual conference with regard to trends, desires of the attendees (students, researchers, teachers, foreigners, and others) and some brave “What if …” scenarios. After the Workshop proper, some of the participants joined a short but challenging trek to the UPLB Mudspring in Mt. Makiling.
