Light Festival 2018

Starting 2018, May 16th of every year will be celebrated as the International Day of Light based on a UNESCO Resolution approved on September 19, 2016 in Paris. Its aim is to promote science, education, art, and culture related to the broad themes of light and light-based technologies.
In the Philippines, the Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas will hold a series of Public Optics and Photonics Exhibits and Workshops that are open to light enthusiasts from all disciplines and professional practitioners with the objective of making light and light-based technologies and researches accessible to everyone.
