44th SPP Physics Conference and Annual Meeting

About the conference

As the flagship gathering of the Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas, the conference aims to advance the frontiers of physics research, foster meaningful exchange of ideas, and strengthen collaborations across institutions and disciplines. It provides a platform for students, educators, researchers, and professionals to present their work, engage in scholarly dialogue, and build connections within the scientific community. Guided by the theme “Convergence,” this year's meeting emphasizes the integration of diverse perspectives, methodologies, and subfields of physics, as well as linkages with allied disciplines. Through plenary and parallel sessions, the program highlights current developments in research while encouraging interdisciplinary approaches to complex scientific challenges. A special session, “Current Trends in Computational Materials Science: From Low-Dimensional Systems to High-Throughput Materials Discovery,” is held in collaboration with the Asian Consortium on Computational Materials Science (ACCMS). This session aims to showcase emerging advances in computational materials research, promote regional collaboration, and support the development of early-career scientists. The conference accepts two types of submissions. Full Articles undergo peer review and are published in the Proceedings of the Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas, with open-access availability at https://proceedings.spp-online.org. These contributions are presented as oral talks or posters. Extended Abstracts are editorially screened and are presented as posters.
