Global Nanophotonics 2017

SPP co-hosts the 2017 Global Nanophotonics International Symposium
Global Nanophotonics 2017 (GNP2017) is an international symposium that is organized under the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science Core-to-Core Program. Its main goals are to promote research in the field of nanophotonics and to strengthen scientific collaboration among its participants, which currently come from 11 countries in Asia and across the world. The first GNP Symposium was held in Osaka University in 2016. The Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas is a co-host of this second iteration, which took place at Puerto Princesa City from 6 to 8 December 2017.
The symposium addressed the fundamentals and applications of multidimensional fields of photonics and nanophotonics, with topics ranging from materials to biological applications. The scientific program included invited talks and a poster session, with several opportunities for students and early career researchers to participate and exchange ideas.
